i’m sunni. a ux designer and digital marketer based in seattle.
I’m a member of The Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma, drawing inspiration from people and their stories.
part of my story
I’m enthusiastic about design and strive to create products that center empathy, connection, and community. I fell in love with UX as it is the perfect intersection of media, culture, and technology – a union that I was always looking for in my previous career. I found UX Design after 6+ years in the world of digital marketing with a focus on SEO and enhancing the more technical aspects of a client’s site performance. I have a strong foundation of research, content strategy, data analysis, and working within an agile environment.
My passion for UX stems from my empathetic personality and a desire to create products with social impact at their core. I believe that bringing in diverse perspectives can lead to more creative and inclusive product design. I’m excited to continue expanding my knowledge and skills within the UX field. I believe that good design starts from a position of open curiosity.

My Process
01. Understand
My projects usually start with a kickoff meeting either with clients or other key stakeholders to discuss deadlines, objectives, deliverables and fully understand the project.
02. Research
To better empathize with the target audience and understand user needs and problems I conduct interviews, usability testing, empathy maps and competitive research.
03. Planning
This stage is where all the information from research is analyzed with the problem established. Features and architecture are identified.
04. Design
Low fidelity sketches and wireframes are created and ready for functional user testing. High fidelity screens with some interactions are created to present to key stakeholders.
05. Testing
Usability testing with the target audience is conducted to gather important feedback. Users are asked to complete a set of tasks evaluated based on factors such as ease of use.
06. Iterate
Based on feedback from user testings and stakeholder reviews, iterations are prioritized and implemented for final design or further iteration.
